This and That

Cyndi invited us to lunch at College Park on Saturday the 14th. We will celebrate Father's Day and our wedding anniversary which is next week. Melva and I are going to set up a table at the county flea market in the morning. This one is in the parking lot of the nearby swimming pool. There is a farmer's market at the same time. That's what draws traffic to the flea market which usually only has four or five vendors.

I've been having fun learning about the Corel Photo House program which I found on a CD of the Word Perfect Suite 8 which I bought many months ago. This program has some pretty good photo editing functions.

I have another Corel program on a CD. This one is Print House. Both of the Corel CDs have photographs on the disks. There are 200 on the Photo House CD and 1000 on the Print House CD.

I've also been learning about the HP PhotoSmart Essential program. There are two versions. One of them comes on the SanDisk Cruzer thumbdrives. This is very useful for moving photo files back and forth between the thumbdrive and the computer. The other version is a free download that you install on the PC. It is very useful because it can read a photo folder and create a thumbnail display of all of the photos in the folder. It also can display a photo in a large size and it can very quickly make a full screen slide show.

I can't remember if I wrote about my Father's Day gift from Cyndi. She bid on an HP PhotoSmart M737 digital camera at cancer silent auction at work. She got the camera and gave it to me. Speaking of being technically challenged, I still haven't put in the memory card or the batteries. I'm suffering from my phobia about dealing with new things. If I don't have it working by the time we get together on Saturday I know she will just take the matter into her own hands. Maybe that's what I'm waiting for.

I'm certain I'll have lots of fun with it once I get started.

Mr. Dickie
