Clear Thinking And Common Sense

Dear friends, guard clear thinking and common sense with your life; don't for a minute lose sight of them.
They'll keep your soul alive and well, they'll keep you fit and attractive.
(Proverbs 3:21-22 (MSG))

Yesterday, Melva and I continued the Fall yard work in the backyard.  I dug up more of the iris plants, removed the weeds and separated the tubers. Melva put them back in the ground.  We think the iris project is finished.  We look forward to seeing the results next Spring.

Two big projects remain: resetting some scalloped edging blocks and spreading many bags of mulch that are already sitting on our parking apron.

Lovely Things

The things we think are the things that feed our souls. If we think on pure and lovely things, we shall grow pure and lovely like them; and the converse is equally true.

We are both working on Fall yard work.  Yesterday we worked four hours cleaning out raspberry plants that grow in the flowerbeds and other weeds. Melva was busy transplanting some of the plants we dug up. I reset the scalloped blocks along the edge of the flowerbed along the south side fence. Today is yard debris pickup.  We have two trash barrels and four large brown paper bags full.

I created a FindAGrave account today.  I want to be able to quickly send messages to people who are posting.
