Intuition

 Intuition

The universe communicates to me through my intuition.
I trust its guidance and act on its direction.

Sickness

 Sickness

Those of us who are not sick and are watching people who are sick, feel tremendously helpless.

Call Everything By Its Right Name

Call Everything By Its Right Name

We need to finally call everything by its right name and bring into the open everything we feel guilty about.

The Great Mystery

The Great Mystery

The truth is some of our friends are gone.
They have passed over.
They are experiencing the great mystery.
And we are still here.
And we don't know anything about dying at all.

Life Is Stressful

Life Is Stressful

Life is stressful. How we respond - mentally, emotionally, spiritually - affects our bodies.

Detachment

April 2017
Backyard Azalea

I will not interfere with the working out of another's difficulties, however dear and close we may be to each other. Detachment is essential to any healthy relationship between people.

Magic Potion

Let me realize that ... [having and following a] program is not a magic potion that will instantly cure all my ills, but a pattern of living that will serve me to exactly the degree that I work at it.

Enjoying Life

If we live each day to the best of our ability, we will soon find we don't have time to worry about the future or regret the past. We will be too busy enjoying life.

If you feel like you're helping too much, stop it immediately.
(Sondra Smalley in The Color Of Light by Perry Tilleraas, 17 May)

The next time I react to another's behavior, I'll ask myself how many times I've reacted the same way before.
(Hope For Today, 9 January)

Our hopes and desires may be able to weather the criticism of a stranger, but they have a more difficult time surviving when undermined by a friend.

Don't Take It So Seriously

Do not take life's experiences too seriously. For in reality they are nothing but dream experiences. Play your part in life, but never forget that it is only a role.

My Quest

Today I continue my quest to discover what I believe. I consciously take time to get to know who I am now and work at letting go of negative ideas about myself. Today I affirm myself.

The Committee Of Sleep

It is common experience that a problem, difficult at night, is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it.

Letting Go

Done with awareness, life is
letting go of fears,
letting go of guilt,
letting go of limitations,
letting go of ideas that trap you in the patterns of habit and do not leave you free to be spontaneous in the moment.

Limiting Beliefs

I let go of all limiting beliefs and allow fate to unfold moment by moment. What I thought were obstacles I now see are doorways to new possibilities and new beginnings.

Being Spontaneous

Backyard photo by Mr. Dickie

Being spontaneous means being present in the moment. It means accepting the chaos of life and not being afraid of it. It means knowing that behind the chaos is an orderliness that we aren't in charge of and we can't control. It means letting go and living now.

Detachment

Detaching doesn't mean we cut people out. It means we stay present and loving without thinking we have to fix or manage the people around us. It means we stop trying to save people from the consequences of their behavior. Best of all, when we detach, we stop taking ourselves so seriously and start having more fun.

Today

Yesterday is but a dream, tomorrow is but a vision.
But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

Stand Up

As we stand up for ourselves against negative beliefs, we allow power to run through us. When we refuse to submit to someone else's thinking, we stop being a victim and become powerful people.

Open Mind

An innocent, inquiring, open mind is a prerequisite for healthy living. If you are open to new possibilities in your life, then that alone will give you access to those possibilities - readiness is all.
