There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature -- the assurance that dawn comes after night and spring after the winter.

The Day Dawns
The day dawns and brings us another petty round of irritating concerns and duties.
Help us to perform them with laughter and kind faces.
Let cheerfulness abound with industry.
Let us go blithely about our business all this day,
bring us to our resting beds weary, content, not dishonored, and
grant us in the end the gift of sleep.
(Robert Louis Stevenson in Three Minutes A Day, Vol. 44 by The Christophers, 6 February)
