Finding Strength
As long as we're taught to believe we are victims to whatever health hazards come our way we won't have the necessary strength to change the conditions that gave us the trouble in the first place.

That's Not Necessary
Civil War Sculpture - foot of Capitol Hill
Washington, DC
For most of what we say and do is unnecessary, and if a man leaves them out, he will have more leisure and less trouble. So on every occasion a man should ask himself, "Is this one of the unnecessary thing?" Further, a man should leave off not only unnecessary acts, but also unnecessary thoughts, for thus superfluous acts will not follow after.

Suffering
As long as suffering is hard for you and you seek to avoid it, all will go wrong with you, and the very trouble that you run from will hound you wherever you go. If you resign yourself to what must be - that is, that we all must suffer and die -- you will feel much better, and you will find peace.

Worrying
Planning for tomorrow is time well spent: worrying about tomorrow is time wasted. Worriers are consumed by fear and find it difficult to trust God. ...
(The One Year Book Of Bible Readings, 17 June)
Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself, let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day.

Trouble Ahead
Don't worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will bring its own worries.
Today's trouble is enough for today.

Trouble
How much trouble he avoids who does not look to see what others say or do, but only what he does himself, that it may be just and pure.

How Short Life Is
How short is life, and how full of trouble!
Like a flower, we blossom for a moment and then wither.
Like the shadow of a passing cloud we quickly disappear.

The Trouble With Money
The trouble is that too many people are spending money they don't have for things they don't need to impress people they don't like. (Anonymous in Journey by David Jeremiah, 16 June) 19 June 2013

Don't Borrow Trouble
When you borrow trouble you probably won't be asked to pay it back. (Richard Henthorn after Casey and Vanceburg, The Promise Of A New Day, 5 November) 8 November 2011

Yesterday Melva and I went to Emmitsburg, MD to visit the National Shrine Grotto of Lourdes. It was a beautiful day. The trees were still showing lots of color. We stopped to shop at two roadside stands. We ate lunch at the Cozy Inn buffet in Thurmont, MD. Thurmont is near Camp David, MD where the President has a weekend retreat.
I think the problem I was having with Skype disappeared when I turned off the screen on the laptop and just used the larger monitor. I added two more contacts. Cyndi got Skype working with the netbook computer and talked with her friend in Germany.

News
When you listen to the news and see the tensions and troubles in today's world, keep in mind the warnings that the Lord gave. (Warren W. Wiersbe, Chapter-By-Chapter Bible Commentary, p. 650)

The real source of his trouble was himself. (Selwyn Hughes, Every Day Light, Day 234)

Sound Advice
When you end up in trouble because you did not listen to sound advice, the last thing you want to hear is somebody saying, "I told you so!" (Warren W. Wiersbe, Chapter-By-Chapter Bible Commentary, p. 482) 8 Jul 2011

Crisis

... all lives - are either in a crisis, coming out of a crisis, or headed for a crisis. (Andy Andrews, The Noticer, p. 31)
If I had a formula for bypassing trouble, I wouldn't pass it around. Wouldn't be doing anybody a favor. Trouble creates a capacity to handle it. I don't say I embrace trouble. That's as bad as treating it as an enemy. But I do say, meet it as a friend, for you'll see a lot of it and had better be on speaking terms with it.
