Sharing

Sharing

When a suffering is shared, its weight is divided. And when a joy is shared, the delight is multiplied. We need each other.

Suffering

As long as suffering is hard for you and you seek to avoid it, all will go wrong with you, and the very trouble that you run from will hound you wherever you go. If you resign yourself to what must be - that is, that we all must suffer and die -- you will feel much better, and you will find peace.

Whose Fault Is It?

We blame little things in others and pass over great things in ourselves, we are quick enough perceiving and weighing what we suffer from others, but we mind not what others suffer from us.
(Thomas 'a Kempis in One Day At A Time In Al-Anon, 9 May)

Instead of complaining about our struggles, we should see them as opportunities for growth. Thank God for promising to be with you in rough times. Ask Him to help you solve your problems or to give you the strength to endure them. Then be patient. God will stay close and help you grow.

It Is, What It Is

People are who they are and do what they do whether or not you like it or agree with them. (Iyanla Vanzant, Until today! 4 March)

Plan as you like and arrange everything as best you can, yet you will always encounter some suffering whether you want to or not. (Thomas 'A Kempis, The Imitation Of Christ, Book 2, Chapter 12, p. 79) 11 April 2012
