Vision
Vision is the best manifestation of creative imagination and the primary motivation of human action. It's the ability to see beyond our present reality, to create, to invent what does not yet exist, to become what we are not yet ... It gives us capacity to live out of our imagination instead of our memory.

Difficult People
Difficult people are those who impede action. Their motivations may differ, and our opinions of them may vary, but they stand between us and our ability to make something happen...
(Sandra A. Crowe, Since Strangling Isn't An Option, p. 48)
In dealing with difficult people, I try to remember that everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.
(Mayor of Atlanta Bill Cunningham in Since Strangling Isn't An Option, by Sandra A. Crowe, p. 238)
In those for whom alienation from everything and everyone has become a way of life, you will note suffering from depression, anxiety, and even physical deterioration, which often results in institualization or death.

Change
What people resist about change is being changed. They want to be enticed and supported, but not forced. They like to think that changes in their behavior are born of their own motivation to be better people, and they want to take credit for their own growth. They don't want to be made to change; they want to make the change themselves and they want to think it was their idea.

The Power Of Purpose
The Power of Purpose
A purpose will:
- motivate you
- keep your priorities straight
- develop your potential
- give you power to live in the present
- help you evaluate your progress
(John C. Maxwell, Leadership, 9 January)
Singleness of purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one's aim. (John D. Rockefeller 1874-1960 in Pocket Positives)

I learned how to add comments to the thirty-eight videos I selected for my Sampler playlist I created for Mr. Dickie's Channel on YouTube. There's a link to the Featured video page in the sidebar of this blog page. You do not need to create a YouTube account to watch the music videos.

Fear, Greed and the Desire for Power
Fear, greed, and the desire for power are the psychological motivating forces not only behind warfare and violence between nations, tribes, religions, and ideologies, but also the cause of incessant conflict in personal relationships. (Eckhart Tolle - A New Earth, p. 12) 4/Jan/2011 14:34
