Take Care!

Take care!

Social Concern

One cannot be Christian without social concern.
There is no reason why anyone should go hungry even for a day.
Since the resources are there, why do millions continue to starve?
The answer must be greed.

Greed

Everyone wants to be successful. The question is: Successful at what? Successful at earning money, successful in marriage, successful in our own sight and in the eyes of our friends? None of these aspirations is necessarily wrong. But greed is an insidious trap that has the power to destroy those whose eager search for success becomes the driving force in their lives. Greed is the devious, sinister, evil influence that makes people say, "What I have is not enough, I must have more. And I will do whatever it takes to get it."

Be On Guard

Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.
(Luke 12:15) in Three Minutes A Day, Vol. 44, by The Christophers)

Letting go of what I do not truly need - whether it be old thoughts, things, or behaviors - makes room for new growth in my life.

Fear, Greed and the Desire for Power

Fear, greed, and the desire for power are the psychological motivating forces not only behind warfare and violence between nations, tribes, religions, and ideologies, but also the cause of incessant conflict in personal relationships. (Eckhart Tolle - A New Earth, p. 12) 4/Jan/2011 14:34
