Sharing

Sharing

When a suffering is shared, its weight is divided. And when a joy is shared, the delight is multiplied. We need each other.

The Illusion of Importance

It's easy to operate under the illusion that what we are doing is so important we cannot stop doing it.
We think we cannot slow down, especially for something so trifling as a turtle [or duck in the road].
But that is exactly the sort of thing we must never be too busy ... [to do].
Stopping is a spiritual act.
It is the refuge where we drink [in] life ....

Gifts

The most significant gifts are often the ones most easily overlooked. Small, everyday blessings: woods, health, music, laughter, memories, books, family, friends, second chances, warm fireplaces, and all the footprints scattered through our days.

Here or There

... a fine space separates us from experiencing our life as nowhere or now here.

Memories

... how precious memories are. They live in our hearts and minds, waiting to whisper back to us. Sometimes they come in difficult times, giving strength and hope. Or, they come simply to touch us with affection.

******

I'm working on a project to move the Bowie Seniors Computer Club (BSCC) web pages from Comcast to our new host, GreenGeeks.  Comcast will discontinue website support on October 8, 2015.  As part of the project I added a BSCC logo and navigation buttons to all pages except one that I don't maintain.  I also learned how to make the old website redirect automatically to the new home page.  I created a TinyURL: tinyurl.com/bscchome for folks who would rather not use the long URL to take them to the new homepage.  I'm using HTML that I key rather than an HTML generator.

Personal Stories

Discovering our personal stories is a spiritual quest. Without such stories we cannot be fully human, for without them we are unable to articulate or even understand our deepest experiences.
