Last night in the state of Wisconsin, at a meeting apparently called illegally, the Republicans pushed through a measure to reduce or eliminate the rights of workers to organize and bargain for their worker rights. This is a very sad day in the history of the union movement in America. In the weeks and months ahead there will probably be further efforts to do the same thing in other states unless it can be stopped in Wisconsin.
Last night Rachel Maddow did a very good job of explaining what is going on. Her guest was film maker Michael Moore who recently went to Wisconsin where he delivered a moving speech about this attack on the unions.
