It's A Waste Of Life

Allowing, or even forcing, ourselves to be positive thinkers ensures we will not become mired in the swamp of negativism. (Eric V. Copage, Black Pearls, 19 June)

Very little that happens in my daily encounters is worth my worry, resentment, or feeling sorry for myself. If I am always ready to take offense and be hurt, I'm selling my contentment very cheaply. (One Day At A Time In Al-Anon, 28 June)

Storing up grievances is more than a waste of time; it's a waste of life that could be lived to greater satisfaction.

We reduce prejudice best by fostering a climate in which it is socially unacceptable to express prejudiced feelings about another group. (Harold Kushner, To Life!, p. 272)
